Valuables & Collections

Valuables are defined in the Certificate as:

Jewellery, furs, curios, works of art; gold, silver or other precious or semi-precious metals or stones, or articles composed wholly or in part of any of them; and

collections or sets of objects whose value lies in the existence of the collection or set rather than in an individual item of it. This includes stamps, coins, records, compact disks, cassettes or other collections.

If the total value of such items exceeds one third of your sum insured for contents, or

These limits apply to Valuables that are to be insured as part of your general contents.

When considering these limits do not include any property that you are insuring under "Cover away from the home" as these will be treated separately.
